We all know safety gears are mandatory in the construction site. When a man enters the gate of the site, safety gears must be with him, from his head to toe. And sometimes, it's become one of the requirements when they are immediate hiring. How all safety gears sounds so important for the worker? It serves as a main role for the workers, especially if they are a construction worker because it can prevent and saves them from hazards around the site. Hazards from falling, flying, strike and electrical objects and it is all visible in construction sites.
Although, they wear safety gears in construction site, why there still accidents happened? Accidents happened unexpectedly, but there are ways how to control and stop all of them. The wrong are wearing incorrect gear at a job, improper tools, uncomfortable, and etc.. Some workers used gears just to say that they are wearing the complete set without knowing it can bring them to the fatal situation. It is not all about safety gears, protective equipment, but it is your safety while working at your workplace. Choose gears that make you comfortable while wearing it.
What safety gear needed in a site?
Proper Clothes, clothes for safety also consider as a mandatory in a site. It helps to reduce the stain we may receive. Safety vest or jackets also wear, especially at night, it makes the worker be seen.
For Head Safety, wear helmet which can protect your head from bumps, falling objects or contacts from electricity hazards. When wearing this it must be in good condition and, always check, if it is visible from cracks and damages.
For Face and Eye, wear glasses and face shields in time that you are exposed by excessive light and flying objects produced by welding, grinding and cutting. There a specific eye protector in every job and hazards.
For ear, hearing protection uses to lessen the noise we received from the machines and equipments. It is advices to replace and clean the gear regularly.
For hand, gloves are used. It must be fitted and wear a right glove for the right job. It helps a worker to lessen the direct pain while lifting hard objects - steel, hollow blocks.
For feet, safety shoes or boots must be worn, it must be a slip and puncture-resistant. As, other safety gears, it must be fitted, comfortable and wear the proper shoes at the right job.
